Here at Garage Door Nation, we offer all of our valued customers the option to upgrade to high cycle garage door torsion springs. What are high cycle springs?
Garage door torsion springs are rated by cycle life. A cycle life is one open and close of a garage door. By upgrading to high cycle garage door torsion springs, you can double, triple and even quadruple the life of your springs!
As for the specs on high cycle springs, the simple “long and short” of it is you will go up a wire size and add a few inches of spring length to convert to high-cycle springs.
For example, if you currently have springs with a .207 wire size, an inside diameter of 1.75 and a spring length of 23 inches, your new high cycle spring would have a wire size of .218, an inside diameter of 1.75, and a spring length of 30 inches.
Here is a helpful high cycle garage door torsion springs conversion table to provide more examples. This table does NOT include every spring we carry in our inventory, but it should give you an idea of how high cycle conversion works:
|Original Wire Size-Inside Diameter-Spring Length (Inches)
|New High Cycle Wire Size-Inside Diameter-Spring Length (Inches)
When you click "UPGRADE" on any of our springs, our system automatically finds the high cycle springs to fit your garage door! The wire size and length will be different than your original specs, but these are the EXACT springs that will deliver a longer performance!
